We’re bringing that back at Forsyth Park, every Sunday, *100% free*. 🧥 ### We set up, then step back We mark out the pitch, bring the balls and keep an eye on safety. Jumpers for goalposts, simple rules. 🤝 ### Kids pick the teams Random captains each week choose squads, hand out roles and run the pitch, just like the playground. 🔇 ### No whistles No clipboards and no shouting from the sideline. Kids make their own calls and sort out their own disputes. The details ## Everything you need to know. When ### Sundays, 4:00–5:30pm Most Sundays. Who ### Kids aged 5–12 Girls and boys, first-timers and footy mad alike. Gear ### Runners only Trainers, no soccer boots. [Follow on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/multi.sport.games) Why free-style play? ## Kids are over-coached. Free play fixes that. Kids love freedom, and today’s kids are coached more than any generation before them. Sports science shows unstructured play builds athletic intelligence, creativity and mental toughness in ways drills can’t. 01 ### Elite decision-making No one shouting instructions, so kids read the game and decide for themselves, hundreds of times a session. 02 ### Leadership & resilience Captains lead, teams settle their own arguments, and everyone learns to win and lose without an adult stepping in. 03 ### Pure creativity Tricks, flicks and wild ideas get tried because no one is marking them. That’s where flair comes from. Think of Brazil’s street footballers. The skill wasn’t drilled in, it was played in. ## See you at Forsyth Park. We’ll let them play until they’re exhausted, happy and ready for Sunday night dinner. There are only 22 spots each week, so don’t leave it too late.
